Volunteer

Volunteers are essential for our work at Markfield. If you are interested in supporting our work, developing new skills and being part of a dedicated and enthusiastic team, then volunteering is for you!

We have lots of volunteer roles including

  • Weekly volunteering on our clubs or drop in sessions

  • Ad-hoc volunteering such as helping at a family event

  • Practical volunteering such as helping us re-paint or gardening

  • Holiday volunteering on our playschemes

  • Office volunteering, helping with administration tasks

All our volunteers receive training and if working directly with service users will undergo a Disclosing and Barring Service (DBS) check.

Volunteers are given supervision and if you volunteer for 50 or more hours we will give you a certificate of thanks and offer a professional reference if needed in the future.

“The best thing was the look of sheer excitement on her face when we took the train! I’m proud that I’ve been able to help her gain more confidence and access services she didn’t before”
