After School Clubs for Children
We run afterschool clubs for 5-12 year olds and for 10-13 year olds during the school term times. Clubs run from 4.00-6.30pm.
The children decide the names of the clubs for themselves. For instance we have G Club, Dynamic Wednesdays, Cool Club. On the sessions you can choose activities like sports, arts and crafts, and music. We have a big accessible adventure playground with lots of play equipment, a soft play room and a computer room. Everybody is helped to join in, and is included in exciting activities.
Children at Markfield get to make decisions about what to do on clubs by creating wish lists of activities and toys.
Some of the places on these clubs are free. There is a waiting list for free places. We try to give places first to children who cannot go and play somewhere else, for example Disabled children who cannot find somewhere that can meet their needs, or children who have been excluded from other play places.
